Meet Robin!
1 year old • Spayed female • English Pointer

Robin is a one-year-old who still believes she’s a puppy, and honestly, who are we to argue? She splits her day between playing, being glued to your side, and disappearing for a strategic puppy nap. Robin loves everybody, from young children to grandparents, and has yet to meet a stranger.

Her ideal home: A yard with a 6-foot fence. Robin is a pointer, and she takes the “pointing” part very seriously. Birds, squirrels, rabbits, and cats are her sworn nemeses (well, her most exciting targets), so she’ll need a secure space to keep her adventures on your side of the fence.

Her social life: Robin is a delight with other dogs, as long as they’re her size or bigger. Her play style is “enthusiastic rocket,” so the big kids can handle it best. She’s never shown any food aggression, and is always willing to guard the area while you eat in case stray food rolls her way.

House manners: Robin is housebroken and crate trained. Once she’s settled in, she can graduate to free-roaming and sleeping wherever she pleases. Just puppy-proof the house and clear the countertops first. She’s an optimist who believes every surface might hold a snack.

Her quirks: Robin is sound sensitive, but she’s working on it. Gunshots and fireworks are a firm no, though she’s getting more comfortable with motorcycles and trucks every day. She’s learning her basic commands and improves daily, though she may occasionally get distracted by something wonderful (a leaf, a breeze, her own tail)(or her favorite, the butterfly)

The bottom line: If you’re looking for a snuggle bug with a sense of humor who’s determined to make you laugh every single day, Robin is your girl. She promises to be the best part of your day, and she’ll nap beside you afterward.
