Meet Tansy! 

Tansy is a sweet 5 year-old lemon girl who is ready to find her forever home. She came into foster care needing to put on a little weight, but fortunately this girl loves her peanut butter, chicken, and cheese, and is happily working on filling out! She is a pocket pointer at 32 pounds. She has possibly the softest head and ears you’ll ever pet and mesmerizing eyes.

Tansy came to a shelter from a hunting plantation, but she is settling nicely into home life and getting along well with her foster family, including foster sister, a fellow pointer. Tansy is already housebroken, knows which toys are hers, and absolutely loves her crate. She is easygoing and happy to nap, after her morning zoomies, of course. She loves to go for walks around the neighborhood and is learning her leash manners. She is particularly fascinated by butterflies!

There is one modern convenience Tansy isn’t completely sold on yet: the television. She’s still trying to figure out exactly what’s going on inside that big box, so she will take a patient adoptive family to work with her to acclimate her to the TV.

Tansy is looking for a home where she can keep gaining confidence, enjoy plenty of love and attention, and continue filling out that petite Pointer frame. She’s a very sweet girl who deserves a soft place to land and a family to call her own. She would do best in a house with another dog to learn from. Tansy is learning that humans will give her the unconditional love she deserves, and she has made incredible progress in just three weeks, as she has started to eagerly greet her foster parents at the door and seek out their affection.
