I’m Tiger. I spent most of my life on a hunting plantation in AL. Then they didn’t want me, PRO took me in, and now I live in CA. I live in a house with 4 other dogs and get along with all of them. Initially, my foster brother made me a little uncomfortable. He liked to go into my area and lie on my bed, so I went into his area to lie on his bed. But now we have we have figured each other out, and we are just fine together.
If I am getting patted and one of the other dogs comes up, I might grumble at them. Foster mom is trying to help me feel better about sharing. She says, Love is not a Pie, and that she can pat me and pat another dog. I am getting more comfortable with that, but I hope my furever family has a better dog to hands ratio.
Because one of the things I love most in the world is getting patted. I will lean against your legs and gaze up at you, or just half close my eyes as you scratch my ears and rub my neck. If you sit down next to me, I’ll move in close and roll over so you can rub my belly. I didn’t have the best life before PRO got me, and I want so much attention. Being patted and scratched and massaged makes me feel safe and cared for.
The other thing I love most in the world is running around and sniffing and hunting. I can chase the rabbits here, and I go yip yip as I tear after them. But I don’t go far, and I have never caught one. I don’t like to get too far away from you, and I have a very good recall, especially if you carry treats and take time to rub my neck a bit when I come back to you. Foster Mom says that my furever family can feel confident that I’m a very good boy, even off leash.
About the leash. I can do pretty well walking on a leash unless there is something I really want to get to, such as a certain bush or a bird, then I pull. I can’t help it. Probably best for everyone if there isn’t too much leash time.
Foster Mom said I should tell you that I have a beautiful point. Foster Mom said some people like to do a little hunting, and I would love to do that with you. Probably nothing too strenuous, but if you want a steady guy to go walk up some birds with you, I’m right there.
I have been around little dogs, and they didn’t bother me. I haven’t been around cats, but foster Mom thinks I would do OK with the right introduction.
I’m well behaved in the car and love to be included on all your outings. Or I can stay home and nap, especially if we had a good run, and you aren’t gone for too long.
If you are looking for a sweet and steady companion, a shadow and best friend, I’m your guy. So put in your app and ask for me, Tiger
