Hi!  My name is Finlae. It was spelled Finnley before, but my foster mom says I deserve a more feminine version.   She often calls me Finnie or Fin, but I don’t care what she calls me as long as she calls me over for snuggles. If she forgets, I remind her I am available for lovin’ when she sits down.

I am a gorgeous 9 year old lemon Pointer. I spent the first year of my life in a home, and then was a hunting dog and lived in a kennel for her next eight years. When the people were ready to retire me, I came into PRO and boy am I glad that I’m here!  I’ve had puppies in the past but never have to worry about that again. I just want to be comfortable and loved.

House life is the best!  I really enjoy being outside playing and running with my foster siblings, exploring the surroundings, or resting in the grass enjoying the sun or breeze.  I then love to be in the house laying on the bed or snuggled up on a piece of furniture.  If there is no spot next to you on the sofa, I will rest on a dog bed, but I prefer to be close to the humans for pets. Did I tell you before that I love to be touched and loved on? 

I am good with cats, love all the people, and having a canine brother or sister to play with is the best.  I can be crated, but I prefer to be free and I don’t get into anything, I promise.  I am clean in the house and I get so excited for car rides. In the car, I talk and sing because I know fun things happen when we go in the car, even the vets office is fun to me.  I get all the great attention there.

A few words from my foster mom.  Finlae is a gentle soul with a zest for life. She transitions seamlessly from one situation to another and is a well-adjusted girl. She enjoys daycare and dog parks.
