I am Annie!  I love people, especially if you want to snuggle.  Do you like to sit on the couch? I do, that is my favorite spot.  I will snuggle right up to you on my back so you can give me belly rubs, as they are my favorite.

I enjoy walks and hanging out in the fenced backyard where I can watch the birds and squirrels.  I would do best in a fenced yard, as that is where I am most comfortable going potty.

I have been spending time with my foster sister who is under a year old and loves to play. I would be happy on my own with my very own human or with a doggie sister or brother. I am not food aggressive and do not beg when you are at the table.  I am really not interested in human food (except chicken), but if you have treats, I really like them!  I do enjoy a pup cup from the Dairy Queen. The first time I was not very interested, but my foster sister gobbled it right up.  Now I know it’s a yummy treat!!

You will know when I am happy or excited, I prance on my front paws. Foster mom thinks it’s the cutest thing ever!

I am cautious meeting new people, so far everyone I have met has been super nice and they give me great hugs and pats.  I like respectful children too. As long as they are gentle, I will crawl right into their lap and give them a hug.

Here are some more things you might want to know about me.

  • I am a little hesitant to get in the car and need a little help. Once in the car I just curl up and take a nap.
  • When it’s potty time, I will only go in a fenced yard off the leash…(We are working on having me ring the bells when it’s time to go out).
  • Sometimes I like to dig on the bed or in the yard.  But I understand when foster mom tells me “no digging” and stop immediately.
  • I am getting much better about jumping up on people, tell me off and I know that I need to go back on my four paws.
  • Loud noises don’t bother me anymore and I have gotten much calmer. Though I will alert you if I hear something outside – especially if it’s a sneaky squirrel.
  • I enjoy toys…pulling them apart and playing tug of war with my foster sister. I also enjoy afternoon naps, those are the best.

Annie is a sweet, affectionate, medium energy pointer. If you want a great companion who is up for anything as long as you are together, Annie is your girl.
