Are you looking for an adult dog with a puppy personality? I’m your guy! My name is Mac and I spent the first few years of my life at a Georgia hunting plantation. It turns out I am too silly to be a full-time working dog, so PRO stepped up to help me find my second act as a beloved pet. Since getting to my foster home in Missouri I have learned how to walk up and down stairs, go in and out of a dog door, and poop outside. I am still learning to always pee outside and not in the house. I am very curious and need to be kenneled when my humans aren’t home so I don’t get into any mischief. I also sleep in my kennel at night because living in a house is just so exciting that I can’t settle down enough to sleep in the same room as my foster mom. I don’t mind going in my kennel as long as I get plenty of affection from my humans and daily exercise.  

My ideal family is one with multiple humans so I can get lots of ATTENTION! I LOVE people of all sizes, including kids. I could be the only dog in the house or live with canine siblings, as long as they’re patient and willing to play with me. I’m not aggressive but I do get very excited when I’m around other dogs. I go to doggy daycare once or twice a week and have made lots of friends, but my favorite part is giving hugs to staff members! All of them tell my foster mom how sweet I am. I haven’t been cat tested, but it’s probably best if I don’t share a house with cats because my prey drive kicks in when I see small animals. I would love to go on daily walks with you or romp around a securely fenced yard. 

I have just started going to obedience training and now know the sit command. I have a LOT of energy and enthusiasm that I need help learning how to manage. Foster mom couldn’t believe I am 4 years old (according to the hunting plantation) because of how much energy I have! I like hopping around the backyard, playing with soft toys, and getting neck scratches. I love neck scratches so much that I may nibble on your fingers to let you know when I need them. Even though I grew up in Georgia, I don’t mind cold weather or snow. I am a strong, healthy boy of ~60 lbs and I am up to date on all my shots and heartworm prevention. I don’t have any known allergies and will happily eat whatever food you offer me! The main thing I need is a loving family who will give me lots of attention and commit to continue my training so I can be the best boy ever. I have a lot of love to give and can’t wait to find my forever family!
