At just 2 years old, Ben is ready to find a home where he can finally settle in, relax, and be someone’s best friend. While we don’t know much about his past, we do know he came from a hunting plantation and has all the classic Pointer traits people love — athletic, intelligent, handsome, and always ready to see what’s happening next.

Ben would thrive with a family that enjoys walks, hikes, exploring, or just letting him zoom around the yard like the goofy athlete he is. He’s familiar with kennel routines, enjoys being around people, and thanks to his board-and-train program, he’s already worked on manners, structure, and basic obedience — giving him a great head start as he adjusts to home life.

But perhaps Ben’s favorite recent discovery?

This boy has officially mastered the art of the “off switch.” One minute he’s ready for adventure, the next he’s dramatically flopped across the couch like he pays the mortgage. Equal parts energetic sidekick and cuddle expert, Ben is learning that pet life suits him very well.

He’d do especially well in an active home with older kids or someone home often who wants a loyal companion by their side. Ben loves being included and happiest when he gets both activity and quality time with his people.
