My name is Virginia but my foster PAWrents call me Ginny. My foster mom said she should have named me Birdie because those winged beauties are always on my mind! When it comes to birds, I am very determined … Because of this, I will definitely require a 6-foot fence to keep my interests focused to my yard. Considering my love of birds, an experienced Pointer family for me would be wonderful!
I was HW positive when PRO saved me so I underwent treatment with severe exercise restrictions and I have been quite the trooper if I do say so myself! I can’t wait to run and play again! I absolutely LOVE toys and I am super-motivated to work for food. In fact, I’ve even earned my Novice Trick Dog Title prior to the start of my HW treatment! I would love for someone to work with me in earning my Intermediate Trick Dog Title next!
In order to be saved from the shelter, I was moved to a temporary foster home where I enjoyed the resident dogs. However, when I was transferred to my permanent foster home, I wasn’t appreciative of the (very) large-pack-energy (my crazy foster PAWrents have 8 dogs)! Slow introductions would ensure I would settle in to a home with another dog. However, I would be happy as an only-dog also – I absolutely adore the attention I get from my humans and would love being the center of attention!
I can get spooked easily with new people and new situations but once I realize that I’m safe, I warm right up! I’m always ready for an adventure and I ride beautifully while crated in a car and an RV. I’ve already started to fill-up my “States Visited Map” after spending some time in TN, VA, OH, KY and NC! I am ready for my next adventure with my FURever family!

– Leash Manners: Could use some work;
– Crate Training: only had accidents when on Prednisone for HW treatments;
– House Training: no accidents;
