Hattie is between 2-3 years old according to our Vet check and weighs 40 pounds. She is in great health, her teeth are beautiful. She is totally potty trained. She has never had an accident in the house. She is crate trained. She slept in her crate at night (all night since day one with no whimpering or barking). We crated her at night for the first week. Second week left the crate open at night and she laid in the dog beds with our other dogs or we tuck her in under a blanket and she will sleep all night. She is in south west Michigan currently living with 3 cats and 2 dogs. She has a lot of energy and loves to play with the other dogs running around outside or going for long walks in the field. Hattie is extremely smart and figured out our doggie door in only two days! She has great recall and knows come, sit and stay. She does pull a little on leash but we are working on that. When she gets excited or you come home, she is excited to see you so she does the typical pointer back leg stand to get closer to you to get pets. We are working on her staying down to get pet when excited. She doesn’t jump on the couch or chair unless you tell her it’s ok to come up and snuggle. She loves to snuggle and to be pet. She is younger so she likes to chew on bones or antlers but hasn’t chewed anything she wasn’t supposed to chew so far. She is great with the other animals in the house. No issues with the cats at all. We tested her with loud noises and quiet noises with no response really. It’s so wonderful to see that she is not head shy or anything. I think whoever had her previously took excellent care of her. Because of that she is very confident and loving. She would do great in a multi or single animal home. It’s a treat to foster her and if we didn’t already have 2 we would probably foster fail again. Hattie is up to date on all vaccinations, tested negative for heartworms and is on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. She is well behaved for bathing, brushing and nail trimming.
